How we look after your films

Where the films are: On a disk in Norway, with us. No copy at Google, Apple, Amazon or any other cloud service.
The way to you: When you watch a film it travels encrypted from our disk, through a relay server at Hetzner in Helsinki, to you. The relay stores nothing; it only passes traffic on.
Who can see them: You, and the members of the groups you choose to share with. Nobody else. During the trial the administrator can see every video to help with the digitising; that is removed before the service opens to more people.
Tracking: None. The app loads nothing from other people’s servers, not even fonts, and it does not collect what you watch.
Passwords: Never stored in clear text, only as a strong hash (Argon2). We cannot read your password.
The originals: The digitised original is never changed after it is stored. Cuts are always made from the original, never from an earlier cut.
Backup: The database is backed up every night. Backup of the films themselves to a Norwegian store is being set up; until it is in place, your tapes are the extra copy.
Out again: You can download your originals whenever you like. Ask for your account to be deleted and the films are removed from the disk.
